Executive Director:  Mr. Timothy Whitfield            


Throughout his career, Mr. Whitfield has held various positions, including that of a behavior specialist in public schools, where he worked as a mentor to young people and assisted administrators. He also served as the director of the W.A. Foster Recreation Center for Goldsboro Parks and Recreation and is frequently called upon as a speaker on a wide range of topics. Additionally, Mr. Whitfield worked as the Assistant Executive Director of The Prevention and Treatment Center, where he earned the nickname T.O.D. (Tough Old Dude) from all those who visited the facility for his love, wisdom, and courage.

Timothy Whitfield is a well-known figure in the surrounding areas, recognized for his invaluable contributions as an educator, innovator, and mentor. Through his guidance and instruction, he has inspired and motivated countless individuals to strive for and achieve the highest standards of excellence. 

 

 

Whitfield holds an Associate in Arts degree from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Leisure Studies from Mount Olive College. Born and raised in Goldsboro, North Carolina, he is a lifelong resident who is proud of his family roots and traditions. He is married to Cynthia Carraway Whitfield, who is also from Goldsboro, and is the proud father of four children: Ricardo, Cyntillia, Chrystal, and Maurice.
